Our Mission
VetBattleBuddy was founded with one clear purpose: to help U.S. veterans and Tribal members navigate complex systems with greater clarity, dignity, and trust.
We are not a chatbot that guesses. We are not a claims filing service. We are a decision-support platform built on evidence, explainability, and zero-trust security. Our system is designed to reduce confusion, surface what matters, and give people a stronger, more honest starting point — while keeping humans firmly in control.
VetBattleBuddy was created by Tanner Tobey, a technologist and educator whose priorities are God, family, and service to veterans. After seeing how fragmented processes and incomplete information leave too many veterans and caregivers without clear guidance, he set out to build something better: a platform that respects the seriousness of the work and the people it serves.
We believe integrity is non-negotiable. The same principles Tanner teaches in the classroom — discipline, honesty, and doing the right thing even when no one is watching — guide how we design, develop, and operate every part of the system.
Our commitment is simple. We build for veterans. We design for public trust. We operate with accountability.
VetBattleBuddy is registered on SAM.gov and is actively preparing for FedRAMP Moderate and HIPAA-aligned deployment in regulated environments.
